Become A Member
Dear Colleagues,
We appreciate your institution's membership with the New York State Social Work Education Association (NYSSWEA). Your support is vital to our mission, and we invite you to renew your annual membership for the 2024-25 academic year. If your institution has yet to join us, we warmly encourage you to become a member and contribute to advancing social work education across New York State.
Why NYSSWEA? NYSSWEA provides a forum and a network for faculty, deans and directors, practicum instructors, students, practitioners, and administrators to exchange knowledge and information regarding social work education and related issues in our state and region.
Membership Benefits:
Ensure the continuation of our high-quality annual fall conference at an affordable cost.
Engage in collective legislative advocacy each spring.
Opportunities to network and connect with social work educators throughout NYS.
Opportunities to recruit students for all degree programs at our annual events.
Three-Tiered Institutional Membership:
$250 memberships for institutions with one social work degree program (BSW, MSW, or PhD/DSW), which includes two free student conference registrations (valued at $60 each for the full conference)
$400 memberships for institutions with two social work degree programs, which includes three free student conference registrations (valued at $60 each/full conference).
$500 memberships for institutions with three social work degree programs, which includes three free student conference registrations (valued at $60 each/full conference).
Member institutions receive recognition in our fall conference program and on our website, complete with a link to their Social Work program(s). Additionally, members can use the annual conference to support student recruitment by displaying materials at designated tables. We hope you will support NYSSWEA this year. Enclosed is the invoice and membership form, which include our tax identification and NYS vendor numbers. As NYSSWEA consists of institutional members, each institution should assign a representative to handle correspondence, which can be noted on the invoice. For any questions, please reach out to Michael Rood at nysswea2@gmail.com. Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at our October conference and Social Action Advocacy Day (LEAD) event in the Spring! Warmly, Board of Directors, NYSSWEA
